张天恩先生认为先秦时期我国黄金制品可以分为两大区域：一是中原地区的金器类型，以金质器皿为主；二是北方草原民族的金器类型，以装饰品为主。M5内发现的小型金饰出土于墓室内，因墓葬被盗，原初位置已不清楚，但从其大小和背面有扣来分析，应该为衣服上装饰可能性较大。金饰表面有多处焊接的绳索纹和金珠，绳索纹在草原文化金银带扣的边框上经常出现，焊接金珠的工艺最早出现于两河流域和地中海沿岸，战国中晚期开始流行于我国西北游牧民族地区，西汉时焊珠工艺在中原地区出现。因此无论是从用途还是工艺上来看，这一组小型金饰都具有典型的北方草原文化风格。</span></section><section M5出土一件造型生动制作精美的青铜蟾蜍，长5.3、宽6.4、高2.5厘米，器身中空，应该是作为装饰品镶嵌在其他物品上的。值得注意的是该件青铜蟾蜍背部有一微凸的圆形图案。蟾蜍在中国古代文化中是一种特殊的意象，蟾蜍纹早在仰韶文化、马家窑文化时期就普遍出现在彩陶题材中，青铜时代也出现在器物纹饰上，汉代开始转移到帛画、墓葬壁画、画像石等载体上，出现了大量在圆环中刻画蟾蜍以象征月轮的图像，这些图像表明了蟾蜍与月亮的密切关系，实际上，蟾蜍在汉代已确定是月亮的象征，为“月精”。从新石器时代以来，蟾蜍与鸟分别代表月亮和太阳，也代表阴阳相辅相成相互转化，这样的宇宙观和阴阳观念始终蕴含在中国早期文化中而不曾中断。M5的这件青铜蟾蜍背部的圆形是否代表月亮值得考虑和重视。</span></section><p
